Terms and Conditions for Virtual YSF 2021

Organization of the 20th FEBS Young Scientists’ Forum

FEBS has appointed the Croatian Society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (HDBMB) to organize the 20th FEBS Young Scientists’ Forum (the “YSF”) in collaboration with the Slovenian Biochemical Society (SBD), with support from the Congress Secretariat, Dekon Kongre ve Turizm Hizmetleri A.Ş (“Dekon”). By accepting your place at the YSF, you are indicating your acceptance to the terms and conditions set out below, as well as those for Virtual FEBS 2021 (the 45th FEBS Congress).

Eligibility and use of FEBS YSF support

For YSF applicants selected by the YSF Committee to take part in the YSF, FEBS meets the cost of participation in the virtual YSF and the cost of the registration fee for the ensuing virtual FEBS 2021 Congress (by direct payment to Dekon). By accepting your place at the YSF you are indicating you meet the eligibility criteria for the event and will participate in both the 20th FEBS YSF and the 45th FEBS Congress.

Modification and Cancellation of the YSF

The YSF organizers have converted the YSF to an online event due to the COVID-19 pandemic. They reserve the right to modify the YSF programme, which is published as an indication only.

We may cancel the YSF as a result of circumstances outside of our reasonable control, including (but not limited to) pandemic, natural disaster, adverse weather conditions, or fire. We also reserve the right to cancel the event due to disruption caused by COVID-19. Where possible, we will endeavour to provide reasonable advance notice of any such cancellation.

Neither FEBS nor HDBMB nor SBD nor Dekon shall be held liable for any costs or losses incurred as a result of cancellation of the YSF.

In the absence of any negligence or other breach of duty by FEBS, HDBMB, SBD or Dekon, these parties shall not be responsible for any bodily injury, illness, death or property damage (including theft) sustained by participants during the YSF.

In any event, neither FEBS nor HDBMB nor SBD nor Dekon accept liability for damages or costs in the event of bodily injury, death, property damage, illness, disruption to travel plans and costs incurred as a result of events outside of the reasonable control of FEBS, HDBMB, SBD or Dekon, including (but not limited to) pandemic, natural disaster, adverse weather conditions or fire.
